We are both fully qualified CYQ Level 3 Personal Trainers, working in our own PT Studio in Houghton Conquest

A bit about me

For 30 years I worked in an active job. During that time I struggled with weight control and exercise. This culminated in me reaching 16.5 stone feeling tired and unfit. 2 years ago I decided to do something about it and make a difference. I became interested in nutrition and challenged myself with goals through running and regular visits to the gym. 2 years on I now lead a healthy active lifestyle through nutrition, exercise and setting smart goals for myself. I feel fitter, younger and have so much more energy than I ever have. This has led me to complete several half marathons and full marathons..

I decided to become a personal trainer so I can embody the same passion I have for a healthy active lifestyle in others, to help them overcome whatever challenges they have. Everyone is built differently and we all want to achieve different goals. I will work together with you to help you reach them. Your sessions will be varied, targeted at what you want to achieve and I will help keep you motivated with different workouts. I can give you advice on nutrition looking at pre and post workout meals to build lean muscle and burn body fat.

A bit about me

Having started out my journey just to become healthier I found that I had a real desire to know and learn more about the fitness industry. I found that the more I worked out and focused on my every day eating habits the better I felt both physically and mentally. This in turn lead me to the love of the industry I have today. I can empathise with individuals who feel embarrassed, overwhelmed or intimidated in the commercial gym environment as I felt exactly the same when I first started, and still do so when gyms are really busy. This is why I am so pleased to offer the services we have in a quiet and private setting.

It doesn’t happen overnight

...I had no clue what I was doing until I enlisted the help of a Personal Trainer who devised a training schedule and nutrition plan specifically designed for me.....investing in my health and well-being was the most important thing I have ever done for myself. I didn’t start out on this journey because of vanity (although it is quite satisfying that, at the age of 44, I can wear a bikini on holiday with confidence and not feel self conscious at all anymore). I wanted to be healthy and be able to do everything I wanted to with my family and friends without feeling tired, sluggish and without all those little niggly aches and pains that were beginning to take hold. Now I do the same for others.....if you want to get fitter and healthier then speak to someone who can help you achieve this, there is no way you will ever regret it. Investing in my health was the best and most worthwhile way to spend my hard earned money and something that those who love me benefit from too as I am able to give them the absolute best version of me every single day and for a long time to come. Help yourself...for yourself, you have to work for it, but there really is no better investment than your health.

This is now my passion. To help people reach their goals whatever they may be.
